John Best, a music teacher and musician, was introduced to ‘stained glass’ by his wife, Elizabeth, an art teacher, artist and jeweler, in 1970. John’s approach is to study each unique sheet of hand rolled art glass and then create his design following the motion of color and texture that defines that sheet. “It’s an integrity-of-the-glass thing that I strongly believe in.” John and Betty, both retired from teaching, exhibit in galleries around the country and appear at over 20 craft shows from their home bases in Wellfleet and West Milford, NJ. |
