About the Gallery

The Burdick Art Gallery is celebrating fifty years in Wellfleet, ‘The Art Gallery Town’. A quieter cousin of neighboring Provincetown’s bustling art community, this Outer Cape village hosts over a dozen galleries within easy walking distance in the town center, where Charles Burdick opened his first gallery in 1967. In 2006 his daughter Kate bought the carriage house at Bank Square, moving the Burdick Art Gallery to 25 Bank Street.

The sisters currently show the work of the Burdick Family, including watercolors by their mother Joanne, by Margaret and by Charles, as well as his acrylics and Kate’s oil paintings.

They also display the oil paintings of local artists Susan Rachel Rosenblatt-Schumacher, Monica Rozak, and Nancy Nicol.
